The cast decided that they would approach Light Hang as a team, wearing matching colors (orange and blue), bandannas, and orange face paint. Actors even make manual labor a performance!

This blog chronicles the SUNY Oswego Theatre Department's Spring 2009 production of Pera Palas. It will follow members of the production team on a research trip to Turkey, the rehearsal process, and the final production experience. We hope to provide both students involved in the show and audience members the pleasures of theatricality mixed with an intellectual process based in both textual and experiential research.
I just found this thread online. I'm SO impressed that you folks embraced this play with such interest and enthusiasm. A research trip to Turkey??? I can't get a professional company to do that. At any rate, I'd love to hear how the production went. I'm interested in the directing experience. The doubling and tripling of roles. The overlaps. The use of foreign languages. What was your experience and how did you work with those rather challenging and unusual aspects of the play?
